Episode 08: Surviving Past Relationships
We always expect our circle to stay the same…
But so often in life we find people coming and going, and the group around us inevitably shifting. Maybe it’s your high school boyfriend you haven’t seen in a decade, or perhaps your best friend from childhood. It could be an old mentor and role model, or a co-worker you became close with many years back. Whatever the case, there are a countless number of complex emotions, sour memories, or even offenses we carry with us from these relationships that weigh heavy on our hearts from time to time. We may want to forget about the mistakes we made in those seasons, or still feel as though we never overcame the definitions they boxed us in. Nevertheless, God calls us to forgiveness, and urges us to find our identity in how He sees us rather then how those from our past have labeled us.
So grab a spiced treat - it’s time to talk about surviving past relationships. ☕️
