Episode 48: New Wife Comparison
And they lived happily ever after…
Well… now what?!
I don’t know about you, but once I became a “wife,” things didn’t just automatically fall into place like I thought they would. My cooking still needed practice, my time management was still developed around one person and let’s not even get into communication skills. All of a sudden I went from carefree fiancé to “there is a boy around me ALL THE TIME!”
And then there’s instagram…
While I could spend hours happily scrolling through it’s enchanted squares, all of a sudden I started noticing what other wives were posting and how different it looked from my new life. The comparison game is everywhere and no matter where we look, there will always be the temptation to compare what we have with someone else, but I feel like the pressure that gets put on us when we get married (especially as new wives) magnifies in our current world of sour dough bread and “boss babe” Yetis.
Grab your bible and cup of something YOU love, and let’s have a chat about this whole “wifey” thing and discover a way to enjoy our own unique journey while writing the story of our life (and marriage) well ☕️
In this episode we’ll chat about:
How comparison is a tool of the enemy
How to enjoy your current season, even if you’re not where you want to be
Why the enemy hates your marriage so much
How to cultivate a chapter that invites others in, rather than keeps them out.
