Episode 10: Stop the Clock - Embracing Slower Seasons
Do you feel like the seasons are passing you by?
I can hardly believe that it’s already November, let alone the start the the holiday season. In a world that’s telling us now is the time to speed up, get everything done and add more to your plate, we want to challenge you to embrace the natural rhythm of rest God set in place this season.
The trees go into their dormant state, bees harvest and hole up for the year, bears hibernate and humans… well we tend to fight nature and work through the night. Now I’m not saying to drop all your responsibilities and stay inside all winter, but maybe there’s something God is trying to teach us through His creation.
We weren’t designed primarily for work but for rest and relationship. Grab your bible and the coziest blanket you can find and let’s dive into this week’s episode. ☕
In this episode, we’ll chat about:
Why God created rest and how it’s a part of His original design… not the fall
Where our need to be constantly busy is coming from and how to address it
Practical ways to embrace the slower season ahead (without dropping out of everything)
Possibly more Narnia…
